  1. From what I understand from the wording, this amnesty would also apply to republican paramilitaries that also killed civilians.

    It’s not often you see a bill so detested by both the nationalist and republican parties. I’d have assumed the best (rather than the easiest) way for peace and reconciliation would be to punish any involved in murder/unlawful killings, not promise them immunity from prosecution for cooperation (which is the easiest, but not the best way)

  2. Kind of a moot point. The UK protects the loyalists from seeing justice and the other side doesn’t trust the govt to persue justice.

  3. Let them, makes little difference, Ireland does not decide UK legislature.
