Romania pretty much admitted it landed on their soil but they do not deme it to be a threat to their security. Clearly no one was killed or injured and if there was damage to property it was pretty minimal.
I suspect Romania like Poland would only go for an article 5 meeting if it was clear Russia had targeted them directly or there was a loss of life.
And a nato country like RO has not been able to destroy it is alarming, is not the first time that we have had this kind of incident, I was expecting that they have measures in place.
So they will respond in some way to this incident or they will chicken out.

Just a reminder that the ruski have deliberately taken down a US drone over the Black Sea and, well, nothing was done about that either.
NATO and Romania will not hit back at the ruski over stupid small things like this.
Would russia start attacking NATO territories on purpose things will be looked at differently.
To date Turkey are the one NATO country who hit back after the ruski had ignored its warnings.
Romania does not have the same military power Turkey has and it has to rely on NATO as a whole.
Those Romanians in the halls of, and at the levers, of power better cross their fingers and wish thrice over that this was just an accident
Cause if not, then they just showed the Russians in their halls of power, that they can get away with more
To be a fair, a crash is not an attack. Even if it was not a crash but an astray missile it still is no attack. Yeah it’s very much unwanted, a nuisance and something to hold Russia accountable for. But no reason to invoke article 5 at all.
Russia will continue sending lone drones and missiles that cross over into Romania because they want a war with NATO, we just can’t respond for our own sake.
Romanian army could at least helped to shoot down some of the drones
I assume the Ukrainian hope is for Roumania to get involved? idk why else they would report it.
I wish they wouldn’t approach it this way tbh. if the other country has no intention of making a thing out of it, then for Ukraine to do it doesn’t achieve anything helpful.
