The battle to succeed Boris Johnson

  1. My preference would be Sunak. I like the fact that he’s so rich he’s obviously in this more for altruistic reasons than his colleagues.

  2. Sorry but Sunak and Priti Patel are clearly not British enough to have people’s support. Truss is the best of the current options.

  3. Depends which market you want to go to.

Truss was pro remain, which would tell me she would like more integration with the EU than we have now. even if she has spent however long as a turncoat brexiteer amongst boris etc.

Sunak would have much better cultural ties to the world that post brexit wants us to aim at. Especially India/Pakistan regions. Which would no doubt boost our own agenda overseas and make other parts of the world feel more open with someone that isnt a complete maniac. But then, Sunak would always have some kind of agenda himself for a man that rich in politics. and I dont really want to sell the UK out to the highest world investors.

I think the best choice would be to fuck off the conservatives and give lib dems/labor a coalition. I know they never really want to work together, but what is there to lose at this point.

  4. I would be really sad if BoJo was no longer PM. He is a source of amusement for me when I watch Russel Howard’s show.

The episode about the illegal parties in Downing Street and how Boris hosted a staff quiz was just fantastic.

  5. At this point, they could start fishing out any of the previous ones, and randomly picking one of those.

    Barely anyone could do worse.

How about… John Major, for instance?

  6. Either would probably be a poke in the eye to Labour who have been using every underhanded tactic under the sun to promote their female & BAME candidates into prominent positions in the party.

For the Tories to promote another female MP to the premiership, or even a BAME candidate would be a massive stab at Labour’s forced diversity efforts over the last few decades. Especially if they’re put there on merit and not to tick any quotas or to push any diversity boundaries.

So yeah, I think whomever they choose Labour won’t be happy about it. I definitely think Starmer would rather be up against Boris in 2023.
