Thank Farage, May, Johnson and the Tories for the disaster.
And if you were for Brexit, go take a look in the mirror and let your conscience do the rest.
I don’t think the Grauniad’s target audience will ever be convinced otherwise. They’re the self-loathing bubble that George Orwell described decades ago.
It’s too early to say. Obviously the transitional period will be rough. I think it will be rough in general, and that Brexit was a mistake. However this is still unknown.
Ask again in 2030, so we can see if the UK was forced into an unequal relation with the USA, for example.
is it just me or do others also have the feeling that the biggest proponents of leave / brexit are subtly trying to distance themselves a bit from that disaster ?
At its core Brexit is just about putting up barriers with our neighbours so it’s hard to see how it was going to go well, especially when those pushing for Brexit have consistently denied the existence or scale of the problems it has and will cause.
It also doesn’t help that the only government that would actually take the UK out of the EU would have to be completely incompetent and self-serving making the whole thing a non-starter.
