Ukrainians Are Far From Unified on NATO. Let Them Decide for Themselves.

  1. A post that basically supports Russia’s intention to hold a veto on the foreign affairs of Ukraine. As if being part of Russia’s “independent” ring of buffer states will bring anything but discounted energy prices and shitty weapons. Russia offers nothing.

  2. What’s needed is not assuming the urge to join NATO “for” Ukrainians but facilitating the dialogue among ourselves about Ukraine’s future.

  3. I love how the author of this article completely twisted the reality, and now it is the imperialist West who is forcing Ukraine at a gun point to join the NATO, while Russia who has invaded and occupied Ukraine, gives ultimatums to deprive Ukraine of its sovereignty, and sends 100,000 troops to the border to intimidate the country, is merely protecting the diversity of opinions in Ukraine. You European fools love the democracy and diversity of opinions, right? Why won’t you accept that Russia merely demands to have a complete control over Ukraine. The author makes Russia’s actions in Ukraine look almost fucking noble.

  4. This little fact is often missed by proponents or NATO expansion, or those that are for some reason pretending that NATO expansion is not a thing.

    >In December 2007, on the eve of the infamous Bucharest summit that settled that Ukraine and Georgia “will become members of NATO,” less than 20 percent of Ukrainian citizens supported joining NATO.

  5. Author is Ukrainian and is a crazy fucking Marxist. He thinks Ukraine should stop fighting against Russian invasion, denies it even happens.
Very typical for both our and western leftist to follow “USSR was communist-> Russia descends from USSR -> Russia good” zombie train of thought that doesnt break into cognitive dissonance even when Russia does outright evil stuff.

Also domain name checks out. I wonder do they know about Pravda and Trump’s truth. Or is this intentional allusion to Pravda.
