Hi! I’m currently working on a documentary about Austrian composer Victor Urbancic, who fled Nazi Austria to Iceland in 1938 and was very important to Iceland’s emerging music scene at the time.
We found some archival footage of a tour of Urbancic with his choir around the country, but unfortunately all e-mail addresses and phone numbers of the daughter (and heir of the rights to the film), Sigríður Sigurðardóttir, are disconnected. The name of the filmmaker is Sigurður Guðmundsson, I think, and the film was made in 1951.
If this sounds like someone you know, for example someone’s grandfather, please contact me, it might be of help! If you have the opportunity to share it with someone who might know more, I’d appreciate it very much.

I have no connection here but some cursory searching on íslendingabók shows there is a Sigríður Sigurðardóttir, born 1945, Daughter of a Sigurður Guðmundsson (b. 1900 d. 1986).
All that shows is that she’s still alive. This is such a common name
So are you looking for the descendants of Urbancic or of this filmmaker Sigurður Guðmundsson?
This post is a bit confusing and I’m also not sure if the cameraman you refer to in the title is the same person as the filmmaker referred to in the post.
