Hello everyone,
I hope you are all well! I am a music composer living in the UK. Last year, I applied to a scheme to write music for a Lithuanian orchestra and I have been lucky enough to have been accepted. I cannot wait to visit the country next year!
I am writing this post because I would really like to compose a piece that celebrates Lithuania and have been looking for a traditional Lithuanian song that I may be able to reference in the music I am planning to write. I have found [Per Giria Girele](https://youtu.be/zdQhZhRTSRo?si=pZTjtLxZIjOE7cwM), which I really enjoyed.
My problem is that I haven’t been able to find lyrics or information about this song online and I want to avoid referencing any music that might cause offence, references war or has a soviet background.
I would be very grateful if you can offer any information about this music, or if you have any suggestions for other traditional folk song melodies please let me know in the comments.
Please excuse my ignorance and I really appreciate any help you can offer. Ačiū!
