Hi guys!!

Im an exchange student here in Oslo. Broke my phone within my first three days here and ended up going to FINN.no to find a new, second hand phone. The provider for the phone i bought on FINN is this company called Teleoutlet – everything went fine and dandy, I paid the phone plus shipping costs, got the phone super quick, it works well, nothing unusual.

Then like a couple days later I receive this first email asking me to return the phone – no explanation why. They didn’t even propose to cover shipping costs (to receive and return the phone) or anything, and above all it seemed fishy as hell to me. Hoping it was scam, I ignored it.
Then I received this second “modino” email today – weird ass layout, it asks me to click a link but there is no link. Still seems fishy and scammy.
Then I go on my messenger and I see that this dude (same name as the person who sent me the modino email!!) contacted me.

This is starting to freak me out a bit and idk how to react. I haven’t responded to any of these messages because this seems highly unusual and sus (and I don’t want to return my damn phone that I paid for and lose some time and money in the process).

I googled Teleoutlet, read through some customer reviews and didn’t see anybody mention something of the sort happening to them.
What do you guys think? Is it a normal thing for a provider to just ask their customer to just mail them a product back, while not elaborating why? Should I keep ignoring those messages? I’m scared somebody might show up at my front door, they have my address lol

  1. But they are so kind, offering to give you a credit for what you spent on the phone 🤣
It sounds like they have made a mistake and are now trying to get away with it. You don’t have to return your phone, but if something with warranty later, I’m not sure how that will work out.
