  1. Well it’s a Start at least, still extremely high so I hope the government with will still provide help for people in trouble and I hope others follow this with reductions aswell

  2. Standing charge, PSO levy and vat on that starts my bill at 100 euros without any electricity brought into the equation, cunts

  3. So should we be wary if signing up to the likes if Flogas as the price would be fixed for the year?

  4. About feckin time. That might take the sting out of the winter bills.

  5. My current contract runs out end of September with Bord Gais. Really like using them as you get free electricity on Saturdays between 9am -5pm. Handy for getting lots of laundry and hoovering etc done.

But wary now though of renewing another contract with them to be locked into higher rates than other providers.

I know I can change etc but the landlord manages the electricity so it’s a bit of a task to be jumping ship on providers etc.

  6. Get out of here with your positive news. My day is ruined.

  7. I moved my gas to them yesterday. Customer service was excellent

  8. 10%?
    Is that all?

Wont take affect until 1st Nov.

Wholesale prices are now at their lowest since 2021 and down over 60% in the past year.
We also pay the highest electricity rates in europe.

We have the ESRI stating there is anti competitive practices in our market and or regulater has fone nothing since.
