I’m currently planning a trip to Norway with some friends, and one of the has a bad knee which means that she has a harder town going down than going up on hikes. In Switzerland the cable cars were very useful, since we could hike up the mountain and take the cable car down
I recently discovered Fløibanen in Bergen, and thought this would be great for our purposes: https://floyen.no/en/floibanen
I have never come across this in Norway before so I am really curious if there are other places where this is a thing. Any other hiking locations with cable cars/downhill trains? Is there a place where I can get an overview of this?

If you’re going to Bergen you also have the gondola that go to the top of Ulriken (the highest mountain in Bergen) and in Voss (an hour away by train). You also have Loen, Stranda and Romsdalen in Western Norway.
