Brussels launched a review Monday of laws protecting wolves from hunters and farmers, as EU chief Ursula von der Leyen argued that packs threaten livestock and perhaps even people.
After her beloved pony was killed by a wolf in Germany last year, the European Commission president called for a reevaluation of the strict protection rules for wolves across the Continent.
I do feel like something has to be done certainly after stories like this:
>In one incident, on February 28, it attacked and killed or seriously injured 15 sheep on a farm near Dwingelo. In another incident, the animal got through an electric fence that was 120 centimetres high and consisted of six electrified wires.
>The wolf was shot dead on the order of the local mayor after attacking a number of sheep that were being held as a hobby. The owner had tried to drive the animal away using a spade and pitchfork but the wolf attacked him instead, biting him on the arm.
I hate lobbies that want the wolf eradicated. Wolves everywhere have proven to be very good at maintaining the balance of the ecosystem.
Wolves can kill few animals just because, without any intention of eat them, so the shepherd finds the next day several dead and bad wounded sheep, but only one having been eaten if so. They are like foxes, which enter the chicken coop, and instead of killing and eat one chicken, they can kill all of them just for the kill.
Wolves have killed lots of people along European history. They still do in places like India. I really don’t understand why anyone with a family would like to live alongside wolves
wolves committed gen0cide on us back in the day. I say we should sanction them.
