   Being racist is bad. Infringing on people’s basic rights to free expression and privacy is also bad.

3. Call me a racist if you want, but south of the border is a sea of violence, corruption and stupidity I wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole. I just thank my lucky stars I live in Canada.

Might get downvoted, but I don’t think ‘sending offensive messages’ in a whatsapp group should constitute a crime, unless obviously it’s targeted harassment of someone privvy to that group chat, or evidence as a part of a wider investigation. Nor should that setting be defined as a ‘public communications network’. It sets an unbelievably dangerous precedent and regardless of message content is an attack on free speech.

   Yes they’re pieces of shit, yes as public servants they should 100% lose their jobs. But that’s it.
