Stephen Fry and I had a cordial and friendly meeting.

We talked about a variety of aspects of Ukrainian life: culture, resilience, and our people’s bravery.

I thanked him for supporting Ukraine. We all hope for a just peace to be restored.

President Zelensky met with Stephen Fry today and thanked him for all his support.

  3. I’m sure General Melchett would get this war finished in no time! Or at least get his drinks cabinet a few metres closer to Berlin.

  4. I will never forget his tour of Russia on TV, during which he tried to commit suicide due to his bipolar condition and not at all the homophobic reception he got in Russia. I’m so glad he wasn’t successful in that attempt. I hope that contributes to his support for Ukraine, which undoubtedly would be 100% regardless of this incident. But still…Fuck Russia.

  5. Such a lovely man. I had no idea he was such a strong supporter of Ukraine, but it does not come as a surprise. Kind and intelligent, choosing what is right. Two comedians that both showed the world to be so much more. Great interaction!

    PS completely irrelevant here – but just a sign of how awesome Stephen fry is – in the city I was born in theres a bit of a legendary pub called the Hobbit and the movie franchise sued them for stealing the brand. Ian McKellen & Stephen Fry both stepped forward to pay the licence and keep the little pub thriving to this day! If there’s any UK people here – visit the hobbit in Southampton – legend of a pub, and if you compete the fellowship you get a T-shirt. ☺️
