Few days ago, I received a 100€ Wunschgutschein gift card. I’ve decided to spend it on an online shop called Basler Beauty. After adding all the items to the cart, I redeemed the code it everything was great. Right after I ordered, I received an email confirmation from them and saw that my address is completely wrong. I was pretty sure I gave my address. Then I removed that order and ordered it again with my address, but I couldn’t use my voucher code since it’s been already used. I contacted Wunschgutschein and they told me that they have nothing with it. After contacting them, I’ve explained everything to Basler Beauty team on Instagram and received the massage which you can see on this post. Why can’t they let me order with my voucher code again? I did use it, but then I deleted the order somehow I lost 100€ just for that? This absolutely has no logic and there’s nothing I can do now.

  1. Eh yeah, it would have been nice of them to let you use it again, but I’m sure the terms are clear that they’re not obligated to, and they’re right of course that it’s not their fault you put in the wrong address.

They’re certainly not a scam. I’ve always had good experiences ordering from them.

They want to make a 100 Euro more profit for the company, that’s the logic.

I think you can press about it a bit more with customer support and get some goodwill out of them. Who sent you this gift card? Did someone pay 100 Euro to give it to you? It’s going to be very hard for customer support to defend that in this case. If this was some sort of promotional giveaway, your case is a bit weaker.

So, all in all, I think you can press them a bit more especially if this was a gift someone bought for you specifically. In general, it would have been smarter if you let the products be shipped and then be returned. In that case, the company clearly has to refund you in the same way you paid (so, in this case, store credit).
