Why does a Shropshire news site care about London’s ULEZ?
13 minutes each for 9 million Londoners means 222 extra years lived.
Quoting the end of the article
>A source close the Mayor of London was highly critical of the Channel 4 analysis.
He said: “This represents a complete failure to understand how these schemes work and why they’re important.
“The point is that healthy people don’t necessarily have their lives lengthened, but people who are vulnerable – such as children suffering severe asthma – see the biggest benefits and have their lives saved.
“This is also only talking about one year of air quality benefits from the scheme.
“It’s akin to saying we shouldn’t roll out a new cancer drug because it will only save the lives of the people with that cancer.”

is there supposed to be a minimum threshhold amount of another person’s lifespan you can take for your own benefit without their consent where it stops being ok?
Is that more bad science? What other con founders are there, and did the study control for these? Do they smoke? Do they drink? Do they eat low fat high carb so have a compromised immune system and overall lack of vitality from not eating a species appropriate diet? Are they stressed from all the ULEZ talk? Do they take statins which slowly kill you a cell at a time and should not be taken ever. Did they take the Covid jab? All these can have an effect.
Somebody paying £12.50 won’t change that.
Essentially £1 a minute if you use it once. Going up and up and up everytime.
History will remember Sadiq very different to how he imagines.
