First of all, Polish generals are not politically appointed, so let’s keep PiS out of this. A hard stance towards Russia is universal opinion in Poland, and across a variety of government across russias neighbors.
Why is Russia threatening with nukes?
**- Because they get something for nothing.** With this, they are successfully slowing down and hampering allied support to Ukraine, making their job easier than it would have been.
This is why appeasement and careful walking is so dangerous, it ends up encouraging MORE use of threats and even militarily useless, horrific attacks against civilians. Those rockets against civilians are not only against Ukrainian morale, but against us, and our will to support Ukraine.
The quickest way to end this war, is to make it crystal clear to Putin that he has not a snowballs chance in hell to win it, that he’s losing quickly, and we achieve that by quick, timely, military support to Ukraine.
Even better, demonstrating European willingness to endure economic pain and security risk is good as well, and we do that by importing less russian energy and sending Ukraine our weapons. Because in Putins mind, this is a question of will, like nearly all wars are. (Paradoxically, I think that demonstrating willingness to endure economic pain, might make the economic pain in reality smaller, because it will shorten the war!)
Another very important item we’re still not doing enough of, is kicking western companies out of Russia. Sooner or later, everyone around Putin is going to realize that he’s a terrible bet, and they’re better off without him. They know very well it’s better the elite do something than the people in the streets.
Yes absolutely. We should start with kicking russian troops out Moldova and Georgia.
In today’s news : Poland wants an all out war with Russia.
Because a nuclear holocaust is just what we need.
