Whatever the fuss over Elon Musk, Starlink is utterly essential in Ukraine

  1. Which is why him fucking with it is conspiracy to commit genocide, and he should be tried as such.

  2. incorrect. it only becomes essential after the US govt takes over the program and removes the off-switch from musk’s soft hands.

  3. Can’t the Pentagon or NATO do something to make sure he doesn’t use this as some kind of blackmail ?

I hate to see someone with his level of spitefulness and instablility having any leverage over Ukraine.

  4. Yeah…but…

Fuck Elon. He can wash the blood off his hands but not his soul.

  5. Musk has always been a coward and a lowlife. Complete scumbag/POS. This was always obvious to those of us who’ve known him since 2000. If you are among those who hold him in a positive or neutral light, you’ve been bamboozled by his highly effective marketing abilities.

He deserves nothing but contempt and derision.

  6. I still remember when he was calling the hero cave diver a pedophile because they didn’t go with his insane minisub.

  7. You could say the same about the Ukraine railways, Ukraine gasoline companies supplying the military, ammo producers, and so on; none of which would ever pull a stunt like that and get away with it. Imagine cutting service to stop an operation *in-progress*… outrageous.. unacceptable.

  8. Starlink is definitely not something to hang your hat on weirdly I assumed this was a priority back when he initially shutthem off…

  9. They must have alternative system to be use. Shit happened like this can kill everything.

Do not relied on one system. Alway has backup system just in case. So they can ditch Starlink when it became shit.

  10. If the satelite network is vital then it’s on government to do something about it so it’s not in the hands of one lunatic. Monopolies are bad for everyone except the ultra-rich, breaking Elon’s monopoly up will be beneficial for all.

And realistically space has limited well…. space. It wouldn’t be beneficial for another company to put up competing satelites.

  11. Elon the horses ass hates that Biden ignores him. That is why he wants to screw Ukraine, he is a total attention whore. And he can’t get a stiffie that’s why all his girlfriends leave. I’m cancelling my Cybertruck!

  12. True. I think Musk has been sorted out by the Pentagon. I suspect much of the negative publicity at the moment is driven by oil companies and legacy automakers seeking to slow down Tesla’s progress.

I separate the man from his products. His products are absolutely freaking awesome. But Elon himself can be a real dickhead.

Had he left space to government we’d be waaaay behind where we are now. You need only look at the colossally expensive (essentially failed) SLS program to understand that.

  13. Musk has quickly descended into nut job territory. I hope Space X has him quarantined away from their operations

  14. Elon Musk should have sold a service or leased it and let it be. However, he’s tried to referee the war by manipulating the “how, when and where” his services were to be used. Even though he ‘donated’ his materials and access, it’s being paid for. Now, what he hasn’t realized yet is that he’s interceded and placed himself into a major conflict. You don’t “dabble” in war, and his actions will come back to haunt him.

  15. Musk is pro-Ukraine. He got manipulated by Putin.

Luckily this no longer has anything to do with Musk. Gwynne Shotwell, the CEO of SpaceX has Starlink under a government contract now. The DOD decides when and where starling can be used, not Musk.

  16. Whatever else you say about Elon Muskovitch, let’s not forget that he’s a treasonous bitch.
