Even though he ‘donated’ his materials and access, it’s being paid for. Now, what he hasn’t realized yet is that he’s interceded and placed himself into a major conflict. You don’t “dabble” in war, and his actions will come back to haunt him.

Luckily this no longer has anything to do with Musk. Gwynne Shotwell, the CEO of SpaceX has Starlink under a government contract now. The DOD decides when and where starling can be used, not Musk.
