Hi there!
Note: This post is a bit long and primarily asking for career advice, but it’s related to Germany so I thought this might be the right place to look for answers. If you are aware of more convenient subs please mention it.

I’m in the process of looking for Master’s Programs in Germany to apply in summer 2024. I have a passion for modeling and simulation, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering with 2 years of experience developing mid-level simulation models with FlexSim.
While looking for a higher standard of quality of life, in addition to a desire to advance in the simulation modeling career, I started looking for international master’s programs in Germany.
For a month, I dived into all the possible programs in [daad.de](https://daad.de), filtering (master’s program, English, summer semester, no fees, Engineering) and sent emails to universities to what seemed close to what I was looking for, but still couldn’t find programs with proper content. I was mainly looking for programs that;
1. focus on simulation modeling types (discrete-event-simulation and/or agent-based)
2. Have a software license for FlexSim or AnyLogic in Uni labs
3. Industries the program covers include (material handling, warehousing, automated guided vehicles, logistics, conveyance)
4. The elective courses cover Optimization and Digital Twin topics
Now I am starting to think that having a master’s in simulation might not be the answer to actually advance in the simulation career! I feel that -for example- getting a master’s in computer science (ML & AI) on one hand, would be essential to simulate complex systems and build digital twins, on the other hand, I believe I’ve studied enough simulation-related academic courses in my [B.Sc](https://B.Sc).
So, I am seeking career advice, master’s program recommendations, and the sharing of knowledge that would help me advance in my career as a simulation engineer.
