High up person knows of an upcoming contract, tells a relation or friend to set up the company or better if it’s an already existing company run by relation or friend, contract gets awarded to them. Rinse, repeat.
People wondering why programming is so terrible on RTE and this is the crux of it. The companies they are working with and spending their budget on are all part of or linked to the people at the top.
No fresh ideas or room for creativity in that kind of system just the repeated garbage we see that all has the same kind of stale atmosphere to it.
