Google tells me they are now deployed at Kleine Brogel AFB, but what about in 1989? Does anyone know of any bases near Eupen that would have stored large stockpiles of nuclear weapons? Not just any, but the largest stockpile in Belgium?
edit:
Since I’m getting so many rude responses, let me clarify some things for you.
1. It’s an innocent question, absolutely no need to be sarcastic, rude, or otherwise condescending to anyone on here for asking simple questions. **If you’re not a military historian or a veteran familiar with this, please disregard this question.** There is no BelgiumMilitary sub to ask this in, so I realize this is not a question you ordinarily encounter, but if your reaction to something out of the ordinary is to immediately be rude or condescending to a complete stranger, you shouldn’t be on here answering any questions.
2. WHY anyone is asking for a question about something that happened 30 years ago is not relevant and only satisfies your curiosity while providing them with no answers. That makes this about you when someone is trying to get help. But, if you must know, I am trying to find information about possible radiation illnesses in the area that occurred then.
3. This isn’t normally “top secret” information 30 years later, that’s absolutely ridiculous. If you google “Warren AFB” in the USA for example, the top link is for the official Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center.

If you google “USA nuclear sites,” you’ll find plenty of info and people who have worked for them discussing their roles. Yes, some nuclear sites may be secretive and I’m sure we don’t know about every single one in the USA, but not all and it’s extremely rare to find any that would still be keeping that secret 30 years later after classified info becomes public in most countries. I realize I am not going to find any secret information. I am asking for the publicly available information that may be in Dutch or another language that Im not finding with a simple Google search.

Let me just find my binder with all those government secrets I have lying around.
Who the fuck asks such questions? This thread sounds like a freshman Russian Spy student doing an assignment.

If you’re kind and provide a european ID they’ll even give you a tour of the stockpile.
The “”Gebiet Einundfünfzig (51)” is right under the main “Friedhof” of Eupen.
It’s an underground complex and I doubt they would let you visit.
The state of Belgium doesn’t have official nuclear capability or word domination plans.
Is there an airforce base near Eupen? Those nukes need a delivery system.
It’s deny nor confirm. Maybe no country in the world stores any nuclear weapons. It’s deterrent. You just have to believe they’re there.
There is one in my garden, alongside of my Petit-Rechain UFO.

Serious answer [since you would probably otherwise disregard my answer as sarcastic or rude or …]
Tsjernobyl dissaster happened in 1986 and the radioactive cloud flew over Belgium as well
Nuclear Doel was build between 1969 and 1988. Tihange around that time as well
However I would be surprised when fully closed and so far safe nuclear weapons would already radiate so much radiation as to cause something as severe as radiation illness. You’d actually need a severe cause for something like that
