To hide the vyshyvankas from the Russian occupiers Olena put them in jars and buried them in a greenhouse. In March, she and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in the embroidered shirts they had saved.

A brave and cheeky lovely couple
Er, Its interesting to see how fashions change….
What a marvelous clever couple. And even trolling by planting their garden in the shape of a trident (tryzub). Age has nothing to do with Ukrainian bravery – 7 years old to 103 do what they can.
Happy 50th Anniversary and many more!
Слава Україні!
Unbreakable spirit
Gold! 🙂
Can someone who is from Ukraine explain to me the importance of the clothes? Is it like a wedding dress? They got married in it?
Operators.
Sobbing here, love these amazing people.
They’re awesome!
