The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has called on the world not to recognize the “elections” that Russia is conducting on the occupied territories from September 8th to 10th.

1. Nobody who matters will recognize them. Not to worry.

2. Presumably there will be a list of names somewhere who support Russia, that could come in handy once the occupiers have been thrown out.

3. Can’t get fair and legitimate elections from a regime that doesn’t know how and has no interest in conducting them.

   The responses and opinions are pre-written, the results made-up and the intent only serves Putin’s interests. These aren’t “elections”, they’re political theater and a fiction.
