B&M bought 51 stores but did not want the staff etc. this is about the big bid from HMV (Doug Putman) to keep all the staff etc for 300 stores
The problem is it failed as the Administrators have one job. To make sure the creditors get their money. Not to stop redundancies etc.
The HMV bid was an emotive one as the unions were all over it. However the only way it was going to work is if you changed the law so the staff came first. Not creditors.
