I visited an exhibition in Trooz organised by the “MuSé” (musée de la Signalisation routière et de l’Eclairage public). Association specialising in the preservation of road equipment (road signs, traffic lights, street lamps…). Here is the size of lighting systems used on highways (3 meters wide):

That’s pretty cool, I didn’t know about it.
Feels like a missed opportunity to just make a maze full of dead ends and loops, and fill it with wegomleiding/deviation signs that keep contradicting eachother
