My shower drain has been very slow so I used the plunger and now this part is moving. Is it bad? What to do?

1. I’m not even sure what I’m looking at. Definitely not a very common drain for a shower.
   It’s on the floor of the shower, right? Not some overflow drain higher up in the wall/bathtub?
