Well that’s an outright lie. The media are diametrically opposed to Sinn Féin and will run stories for weeks based on no substantive evidence. They’ll take the word of known criminal liars as gospel. Any remote association to a negative story will be portrayed as a deep inside interconnection. An ex member can be a bully victim one minute and then a hideous monster they should have known about. But his words thereafter will still be trustworthy if they’re saying the right thing.
Martin must think people don’t pay attention. I suppose many don’t.

The media aren’t particularly supportive of Sinn Fein just based on current and past coverage of them. It’d be different if the media was actively cheering on Sinn Fein in the way that they’re cheering on government parties.

I’m a 30 something working professional, third level education etc. If anything I should be in FF and FGs target demo. But for all Leo’s “people who wake up early” nonsense I can afford no quality of life in this country, can’t buy, can’t get a GP. Struggling to afford rent.
I’m voting SF next election not because I even think they have any magic answers , but because it’s clear FF and FG have no plans.
How much worse could it get, we may as well give them a try at this stage, that’s the general attitude I get from friends and collegues.
