  1. And Boris was a major player as well. So was Ken Clarke, he was arguably a far bigger hitter politically than Corbyn, and the last four Tory PMs. And yet he was thrown out of the Tory party for going against Boris.

So what’s your point Rory? You’re just a has been now after your failed leadership bid.

  2. OK, thought he must’ve been taken out of context, but from the video looks like he brought it up with minimal prompting? Surprised he thinks that.

(Though I kinda agree that Starmer feels very afraid to have any one around him that disagrees with anything he says – not specifically talking about Corbyn here. Angela Rayner’s gonna cut a lonely figure, and she’ll only remain cos there’s nothing he can do about it).

  3. Keir Starmer is the luckiest man in Britain. The Tories have done so much so badly that he’ll practically walk into power without having done anything to earn or deserve it. And then he’ll proceed to do absolutely nothing. None of them represent us. Starmer gets to fail upwards because of our completely broken political system that involves helplessly oscillating between two abusive parents. Meanwhile, conditions for the average person continue to worsen.

I don’t like socialism. At all. But I liked Corbyn. Liked him enough to vote for him despite disagreeing with a lot of what he stood for. I voted for him because he was at least (relatively) honest and principled. Starmer is just another Blairite dork. People will attack this comment but it’ll mostly just be misrepresentation and seething because they’re clinging onto the delusion that Labour are any different from the Conservatives.

  4. I actually think that these actions are ‘disgusting’ and that Starmer was very justified in kicking out Corbyn:

  5. Rory Stewart has a book to sell *and therefore says controversial things.*

I personally don’t get why people get so excited about Rory Stewart.

It seems to be mainly because Rory Stewart is very excited about himself,

If he hadn’t been born to great wealth and privilege and gone down the whole prep school/eton/oxford path it seems to me he probably would be one of those obviously crazy unemployed pubs bores in spoons getting pissed on the guest ale and quoting their extensive knowledge of their specialised subject to their mates to stroke their own ego.

  6. He should have a long hard look at his voting record before calling others disgusting.

  7. Well obviously. Any politician with ethics who wants real change to benefit working people will be attacked and destroyed by the media, considering we have virtually no left wing media, especially none on TV in Britain it’s easy to force a narrative. The Labour right hate him because he wanted to stop the gravy trains.

  8. I can’t wait to listen to the Rest is Politics this week lol, wonder if Alistair will go half or just quarter rottweiler on Rory about it?

  9. People only listen to his sibilant nonsense because they think anyone who thinks he’s Laurence of Arabia is 4d clever. At best he’s bland but he’s closer to an idiot waiting for the phone to ring so he can spout off about things he thinks he understands.

  10. He’s 100% correct and is why I’ll be voting Tory next election (as will most Momentum and Corbyn supporters)
