  1. What a surprise. The breed that literally looks like it was bred to kill turns out to be a problem.

But surely he just wanted to play. /s

  2. Your dog bites someone, you go to jail.

You’re responsible if you neglect the animal, why are you not responsible if you trained the thing (or didn’t!) or let it off a lead?

Maybe the threat of themselves actually going to prison would make people not have dogs that are threats to others, rather than a slap on the wrist and they can immediately go out and buy the next “not banned yet but will be” breed that comes along to replace the previous.

Also: fully expect me to endeavour to kill your dog in the most brutal way possible if it comes at me like this. And then fully expect me to be looking to discuss the matter with you as the owner next.

The bit that pisses me off are the little old ladies who have dogs they clearly can’t even manage well enough not to bark the house down and lurch at strangers because someone is mowing their own front lawn 50 feet away. It’s not “protection”. If anything, it’s boy-who-cried-wolf because the owners just ignore everything the dog barks at, because the dog barks at everything. And you’re just setting yourself up to be a victim, or your grandchild.

I won’t own any pet that I couldn’t drop-kick over the nearest fence if it decided to turn on me or, worse, a small child. And then there are little old grannies with great fuck-off-sized wolves in their homes that have no concept of behaviour or moderation because their owners don’t exercise any control of them.
