Today, the Parliament of Armenia ratified the Protocol No. 13 to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, concerning the abolition of the death penalty in all circumstances.

  1. Huh, I’m pretty sure we don’t have the death penalty since shortly after the fall of the USSR. Is there some exception that’s never been used, like treason?

  2. I guess our Russian Puppet presidents before Pashinyan wanted to keep it on the table and not ratify it incase they needed to unalive any opposition. The Russian disease is very difficult to heal from. It takes time. We appreciate the EU for helping guide us on many aspects of human rights progress since you know all our neighbors are not such beacons of humanists.
