  1. >then claims ‘it wasn’t me’

But we caught you on camera…

  2. Wow must be nice to be able to get away with crimes because you don’t remember doing them

  3. Ah, the good old “driver seriously injures cyclist, shows no remorse at the scene, flees, plays the serious hardship card, avoids jail, will be back on the roads by next Christmas” story.

See a couple of these a week at this point.

When are we going to start seeing lifetime driving bans for people who clearly aren’t capable of the responsibility of operating heavy machinery around other members of the public?

  4. And was spared jail, for the interest of /u/Naive-Pen8171 since we were shortly ago discussing incidents that had been submitted on this sub where drivers went unpunished for killing or injuring people. Very relevant post here.

    >She appears to lack a motive to flee the scene.

    Self-preservation, probably.

    >This man will be left with the physical and mental scars for the rest of his life. I must impose a custodial sentence…. I have got a balance to strike. My view is that the balance in this case is in favour of suspending the sentence, and that is what I am going to do. That in no way diminishes the seriousness of the offence

Yeah fuck off, judges in this country are a joke, and so are the laws.
