Hi guys 👋 I am planning to work in Finland next year. I got my degree in the US, and unfortunately, a DUI record from there. However, I see no criminal record document required from my part in Finland’s official website: https://migri.fi/en/specialist
No intention to hide anything, but just curious at what point will they find out about my history in the US? Is it during the residence permit application, or residence permit extension, or employment criminal history check, or permanent residency application?
Any help would be appreciated ❤️

They don’t check anything, at least if you’re not on some international watchlist. Mine was approved so quickly, it wouldn’t have even been possible.
When you extend your permit or get citizenship, then they can easily check from the Finnish police.
