7. Surely Mcintee has to go now. The Guards don’t have a bit of confidence in their boss, they’re resigning in record numbers (98 so far this year), crime is rampant and criminals face zero consequences.

10. The nation is worse off with him in charge of the force. He is hopeless and it should come as no surprise considering his history.

11. I’m going to be honest that means very little, and honestly if they all loved him I’d be worried. Seems to have done far far more than his predecessors in terms of stamping out corruption and cronyism so it tracks they wouldn’t like him.

    Anecdotally my Garda friend “hates him because you can’t get away with much anymore” so take that for what it’s worth.
