One Serb shot, 6 policemen injured in Kosovo clashes

  1. This is about rule of law in north of Kosovo and Burrel suggests Kosovo must negotiate it w Serbia. Except, the lawlessness there is maintained by Serbia-backed groups both to challenge Kosovo statehood and as a criminal el dorado (incl. illegal crypto mining).

  2. EU again fails to uphold Kosovo-Serbia agreements it has mediated. Multiethnic judiciary in north was agreed at Brussels, and it has now authorised (multiethnic) Police anti smuggling op leading to arrest of (multiethnic) group of smugglers.

  3. It’s important to understand that the Serbs who demonstrated and fought against Kosovo Albanian forces had done it on their own will (as opposed to the conspiracy of ”Serbia is behind this and that”) as they witness they have been abused by said Kosovo Albanian forces for decades. After such a history, when the forces inserted themselves into the Serbian-majority north on their own initiative, and began forcefully closing stores and throwing Serbs out, without any consolidation with the police of the north about this ”operation”, Serbs reasonably began to fear them and their actions. Their complaints and protests against the presence of Kosovo’s southern forces in the Serbian north, although justified, were the moment Kosovo forces pulled out guns and tear gas.

This violence initiated by Kosovo Albanian forces led to tens of Serbs physically hurt, and a Serbian man shot in the back, currently fighting for his life. Serbs from the scene report numerous people getting beaten up, some ending with heavy wounds, for simply standing there. [Serbs fear](https://kossev.info/gradjani-sa-severa-pitaju-vucica-da-li-cete-stati-iza-nas-ili-treba-da-nas-iznose-u-sanducima/) a new ethnic cleansing, as Albanian forces were extremely violent. Kosovo north’s Serbian journalist were [pressured](https://kossev.info/kossev-journalists-face-pressure-not-to-report-during-the-n-mitrovica-conflict/) not to report on the scene.

Because of Kosovo Albanian forces’ consistent violence and abuse of Serbs, they aren’t to go there on their own initiative by the [Brussels Agreement.](https://www.rferl.org/a/text-leaked-copy-serbia-kosovo-agreement-brussels/24963542.html) The fact they didn’t contact the police of northern Serbian-majority areas and the Serbian majority to let them know of future extreme actions of their operations really tells it’s a violent power play. Pretend that you own the Serbian majority and can put them down any time they oppose.

Media of Kosovo’s north [report](https://kossev.info/gradjani-sa-severa-pitaju-vucica-da-li-cete-stati-iza-nas-ili-treba-da-nas-iznose-u-sanducima/) witnesses who have come out to say that, as the Albanian forces were leaving the Serbian north, they began randomly shooting at people, at houses, all around.

  4. Terrorist “country” (not even a real country), police members who were part of a terrorist organization (KLA) doing terrorist things.

Nothing new. This was not a police action, but an attempt by the Albanian side to ethnically cleanse the remaining Serbs out of Kosovo and Metohija, just like in March 2004.

Disgusting. What’s even more disgusting are the “civilized” Western Europeans justifying the actions of Albanian terrorists. I honestly can’t comprehend that someone actually believes that this was a legitimate anti-drug and organized crime operation by “Kosovo” police. “Kosovo” is LITERALLY the biggest drug hub in Europe! That is where 85% of drugs come to this continent. It was built on organized crime.

  7. Dear Mr. OP

Thank you for your concern. It is important not to portray the unfortunate violence instigated by few hooligans orchestrated by Belgrade as some inter-ethnic problem between Albanian and Serb citizens in Kosova.

Yesterday’s action by Kosova’s Police were only targeted against crime and contraband smuggling in four Kosovar municipalities, one of which happens to be in the northern part of Kosova (where few criminals instigated the violence).

So, no one, and especially should try to make this a political or ethnic problem, and bilateral coordination is not relevant in this case, because stopping crime and illegal trading is a typical competency of a sovereign country.

Fyi, the prosecutor who authorized the action is a Serb, the judge is a Serb, and most of the police people in North Mitrovica municipality are Serb. 6 Albanians, 1 Serb, 1 Bosniak arrested. 6 policemen were hurt, one of which a Serb. Crime and contraband have no ethnicity.
