Anyone know who has made this puukko? Found in the forest of kuusamo, when i was searching for blueberries nearest walking trail was 2.3 km away, its untouched i just wiped the water Off and there was no case for it, not any kind of markings either.

  1. It looks brand new and blade does not look like it’s sharpened yet (or maybe it is just the picture). Is it sharp? Handle looks like it is made from visakoivu (slow growing silver birch often found in north) and perhaps a piece of reindeer antler. Work on handle is very smooth and there is no irregularities often seen in handmade handle. It is unusual that handmade puukko would not have any markings who made it. I am guessing heavily here but my guess would be that it is kind of “industrially handmade” Lapland puukko sold in souvernir shop for tourists.
