  1. Italy is so fucked. The EU should be handling this better.

  2. I think Germany received over 1,5 Mio refugees in 2022 alone. I doubt this makes a difference.

  3. Absolutely shameful that this issue continues to fester.

  4. The Italians should bus them there like some Republican governors did in the US

  5. The thing is that 99% are men and not families or women with children.

  6. Am I the only one who thinks this is all a political move?

Like, “if this far-right government is isolated and collapses, we will prevent the same type of government from rising to power in our countries as well”.

AfD is rising in the polls in Germany. Macron, after all the protests against the pension reform, is unlikely to win next elections and Le Pen could take advantage of this.

If they don’t help Italy and let this government of clowns fail, they would have something to discredit their own extremist parties as well.

  7. Germany has way too many refugees, this shit show has to stop. When I go out in my German city I hear every language but German

  8. On one side, I am happy for any pressure put on the Italian fascist government.

On the other side, we are talking about human beings fleeing from conditions so hard that it is worth risking to die in the sea to escape.

  9. I won’t be surprised if in a few years Italy refuses to rescue migrant boats. If this escalates even more, I wouldn’t be against the Italian navy forcibly turning them back
