  1. So what do they actually know about policing? Or crime in general? They’re not experts, they haven’t published any papers in the field, they have no experience with the police beyond this case. And yet they somehow think that the police should be abolished? That’s like me saying the NHS so go full American privatisation because it took me a few minutes to get an appointment with the GP. Bozos

  2. What is it with news sites posting these sorts of articles.

Woman who arrested by police calls for abolishment of MPS. Ok, and? Why is this a news story. With all due respect to the woman, getting arrested and then getting compensation for said arrest doesn’t make your opinions regarding the police suddenly so valid that it warrants a news site reporting it.

    This is a non story.

On a side note, abolishing MPS will not change anything. What they need is a huge increase in funding and resources, an overhaul on training so that officers hit the streets with confidence rather than just the most basic training the force could get away with. And revamping senior ranks so that they actually do some proper work rather than just screwing over the front line officers.

  3. Abolishing is the wrong word. Reforming yes absolutely. Otherwise, this is a pointless article to smear a person who already had so much damage done to her. It’s like revenge. But it’s weak

  4. Brainpower of a potted plant. Yes, that’s it, repeat the line you saw an American make on TikTok
