Reminds me of that South Park episode where trans woman wanted to have an abortion, coz she “stopped menstruating” lol.
I have no problem with trans people, but obviously many of them are not very smart.
I can’t blame the doctor. I mean imagine being a mechanic and you work on traditional gas engines, then someone shows up with a Tesla and freaks out when you say you don’t have the expertise or interest to fix their type of car. This [person] would be better off putting [their] time and energy into finding a qualified trans doctor rather than trying to cancel this doctor for being honest about his lack of expertise
Although he’s correct to admit he isn’t trained or have the expertise for treating transgender patients…its his reaction and some of the things he said that he fucked up.
He should have stopped speaking after he said he didn’t have the expertise.
This incident serves as a poignant reminder that the medical field has a long way to go in accommodating and understanding the healthcare needs of trans people. While it’s important for a doctor to admit when they’re out of their depth, the manner in which Dr. Acharian responded was both unprofessional and offensive.
However, the heart of the problem lies in the lack of training available to health care professionals regarding trans patients. The fact that many trans people avoid or delay medical appointments to avoid potential discrimination is deeply troubling. We’re moving into a world where being trans is more accepted and recognized. Our medical institutions should evolve at the same pace.
It’s encouraging to see that some French universities are taking steps to provide training in trans health care. Still, there’s a glaring need for more widespread change to ensure that trans people receive the competent, compassionate care they deserve. Discrimination, whether intentional or due to ignorance, is still discrimination. The health care community needs to step up.
I’m not sure what this is all about.
It objectively isn’t lol.

Why is this news?
I recently went to the doctor to see if they can operare on my nose so sleap apnea stuff would work better.
The doc was like oh uhm apparently you were born with a hole in the roof of your mouth and they fixed alll that but now the inside of your nose and mouth and that little ball thingy and stuff is and works diff from the regular so idk how to operate on u find some1 else.
Should i call the news now or smth?
“I told her that I’m not competent, but I can guide you. I can refer you to services that can take better care of you. But after I said that, things went south,”
Of course it went south, if you say anything to LGBT+ that they don’t like even if it is true you will be branded homophobic.
I mean, it really isn’t
I read “cavity” and thought that that person was denied dental assistance, the truth is quite more comical and ridiculous though. Poor gynecologist, really…
i don’t even know what to say, i mean he’s a doctor he knows better than me…. what a convoluted situation.
If they have a cavity to inspect, they should visit a dentist.
Flesh wound, innit?

Seriously. If anyone say “Transphobic”…
I will consider that you have no brain.
People are seriously losing the plot and becoming more delusional and dumb. It’s actually frightening to see where our world and societies are headed. How can anyone think this is normal?
I heard it can get quite stinky and they have to stretch it open every day for the rest of their life. These surgeries are Frankenstein isk imo
We live in a clown world
That doctor sounds like a douchebag. I can understand he lacks knowledge, but flat out refusing to help someone ’cause he only helps real woman’ is infuriating. I seriously hope there are a lot of mistranslations, cause now it just sounds cruel.
The headline is misleading- and seems more intended to generate traffic than to inform. This person was not defined healthcare- they were seeing the wrong kind of doctor. The issue isn´t even trans-rights, it is about understanding how medicine works.
If I go to a dentist complaining that I have a broken arm- the dentist would naturally tell me that he cannot help me, I have to go to the right doctor.
Gynecologists train for years to work on specific organs treating specific diseases. It seems reasonable to say that a) you´re coming to the wrong type of doctor, and b) I cannot help you because I don´t work in that field. The doctor in this case did his duty by not working on someone when they don´t understand how to treat them
Don’t think the doctor’s trying to be hateful here. He’s just explaining why his knowledge doesn’t suffice to care for the patient.
True statement.
So basically instead of treating those people from some psychological disorder the doctors make the surgery that makes them untreatable (so far) for e.g disorders/ ailments/ illnesses of the reproductive organs?
