Non civilian targets? Must be getting desperate.
So they rage attacked into well defended military targets, which they would have already attacked if it was a good idea, instead of going for their usual civillian targets. Seems to me that provoking Russian revenge can be good.
Attempting to interdict/damage/destroy the Su-24 platform – the one that launches Storm Shadow.
That hit on Sevastopol must have really hurt then if they turned from their daily routine of attacking civilian buildings, markets and cafes
Given that they’ve tried multiple times with missiles including Kinzhals and failed, it’s a bit interesting to see them use drones. The only effect they might be going for that I can think of is a cheap way of temporarily disabling a runway. With the absurd amounts of these drones that they/iran are manufacturing, it’s unfortunately a feasible tactic in theory.
A Russian overnight drone strike on Sept. 15 was targeting Ukrainian bombers in response to an attack against a Russian shipyard in Sevastopol earlier this week, Air Force spokesperson Yurii Ihnat said.
On Sept. 13, Sevastopol’s Sevmorzavod Shipyard in occupied Crimea suffered a strike that reportedly destroyed a Russian landing craft and seriously damaged a submarine.
Sky News reported that the Sevastopol attack was carried out using U.K.-supplied Storm Shadow missiles.
The Air Force said earlier on Sept. 15 that all 17 Shahed “kamikaze” drones launched against Khmelnytskyi Oblast have been destroyed by air defense.

Russian forces tried to target the air base already in July in a missile strike. Ihnat commented at the time that the attack was ineffective because the Air Force had protocols in place to protect the aircraft.
They would be mad not to have the modified SU 24 spread out very far and under concrete shelters.
I’m sure they do
They probably can brag to pootin now that they destroyed 10 SU-24 and 5 warehouses of StormShadows and stay away from windows a few more days until the attention gets somewhere else.
I like the keyword tried, Russia tried implies Russia failed and Russia failing = good. Keep it up.
WHAT? RUSSIA ATTACKING MILITARY TARGETS? WTF
Oh, so they’re afraid of the Storm Shadows…
