  1. Fuck ! This is the same place, where last year, they had a flag fight !!

  2. I cannot imagine having to pray with all that going on.

  3. I’m so sorry that the Ukrainians need to bare with these hordes..

  4. Anyone know what they’re all reading at those desks?

  5. How about they pick up some arms and help out.

  6. Is Uman a pilgrimage site ? There’s a East African looking fellow in the vid. Interested to know whether folks travel from all over the world to go to this town.

Anyways, this is great. Let Ukraine be a bastion of religious freedom and tolerance.

  7. To add some context from a Jew – though not at all religious, etc.: Uman is a major pilgrimage site for religious Jews of all kinds as the remains of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov are buried there. Every Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year) thousands of hasidim and haredim engage on a pilgrimage to this site to pray. The ones dancing are a specific sect of Breslover Hasidim who believe that the ultimate way to connect to God is by spreading intense joy by dancing, making music, laughing, singing, etc. They often have these white, knitted kippot on.

This is in a synagogue so the others are most likely studying torah, talmud, etc.

  8. Reminds me of being in the supporters section at a football/soccer match. Like the enthusiasm!

  9. seems like they need a fire code, that is like a disaster waiting to happen with that much overcrowding. So many people jumping.

hopefully they are on the first floor or that building is in trouble.
