Canadian tourists. We traveled from flåm to Geiranger. Google maps said to take the blue route. Car gps said to take the grey route. I chose the blue. At the base of the switchbacks in Ovre Ardal there was a sign stating (I think) the road was closed ahead at a certain time of day. We made it to the top and there was a nice lady walking her dog. We stopped and asked her about the sign. She said the road was closed at certain times and was uncertain when. She recommended that we turn around and take the other route. Which we did. Just wondering if we missed much as far as scenery? The other route (grey) didn’t disappoint!
