  1. Given the AGSI support for Drew and a return to the agreed rosters I don’t see him going anywhere until that’s implemented at least. Otherwise the next commissioner will have to deal with the same thing.

  2. Can anyone answer this? Is Harris unpopular because he’s a terrible Garda Commissioner or is more of a case of him trying to reform the Gardaí and that is unpopular?

Is the drop in Garda numbers because of how Harris is running things or is it more to do with pay and resourcing?

  3. What reason does the commissioner have for going back to the old roster? Is it a money saving thing or another reason?

Also the following stood out to me:
“The GRA say the commissioner is not too concerned about the welfare of its members but garda superintendents strongly disagree.
They say Drew Harris is very attuned to garda welfare and has set up wellness programmes and wellness days.”

The setting up of these programmes or wellness days always smacks of just ticking a box rather than doing actual effectual towards “wellness” and “wellbeing”.

  4. Who has confidence in RTÉ? Both RTÉ and Drew Harris are refusing to fuck off.

We will never have a national broadcaster while Bakhurst’s RTÉ is occupying that space.
