  1. I feel like Switzerland should be split up. Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia should have their own grouping. Don’t know what to do with Hungary.

  2. Greece will not be happy to see the colors… lol

    Meanwhile my italy… 😎💅

  3. Split Belgium up. South to France, North to Netherlands. Split Germany up, East remains where it is, group West in with Netherlands and Belgium

  4. Greece and Turkey in the same group? This won’t end well.

  5. Yeah, Netherlands and Germany should be in different groups (despite having a very similar culture, language and history), but lets put Germany in a group with similar countries, like… hungary. /s

Look, we can do this whole “central europe” thing, but at least find a group that is somewhat similar. Proposition: Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Slovenia definitely, Poland and Slovakia maybe, but by no means hungary.

  6. The old Irish, British Armenian, Georgian and Azeri brotherhood alive and well

  7. A map of cultural regions should disregard political borders.

  8. Funny how the pink cultural space that supposedly covers the Iberian Peninsula magically stops at the French-Spanish border.

The Pyrenees are not a hermetic barrier, guys.

  9. I can confirm as a Romanian. Some years ago I was in a summer school with people from Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Croatia, Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia and spending 2 weeks with them I realised how similar our cultures are, including food and even the way of joking. There were some westerners too from Scotland and Norway, but they could not blend in completely, while the rest of us were behaving as close friends after a couple of days.

  10. Funny. I find this pretty accurate and total bullshit at the same time.

  11. I think it’s a geography thing otherwise big questions for sure!

  12. France is the only country to have it’s own culture group since idk what’s up with Monaco and Andorra but in terms of space, the Baltic culture group is the smallest

  13. Turkey herself has to be divided several times to create homogenic cultural areas.

  14. The right map would look at regions rather than borders

  15. Greece shares exactly 0 culture with Turkey. Turkey is more similar to Iran.
