“The Italian government is ready to introduce “extraordinary measures” to deal with a surge of migrant arrivals, premier Giorgia Meloni pledged in a video on Friday night.
Claiming the pressure on Italy from migrants was “unsustainable”, Meloni called for a joint response from the European Union, including “a naval mission if necessary” to stop migrant crossings from north Africa.
Meloni was speaking in response to the record numbers of migrant landings this week on the tiny Italian island of Lampedusa which is struggling to cope with the influx.”
There will be no happy endings here.
We either allow these people to drown themselves to death and kill each other desperately trying to get into the EU, or we let them in and welcome our own destruction due to the reality that we cannot possibly sustain all of these people.
Even if we let THESE people in, there will be more. Africans have a lot of kids and they will all grow up realizing that Africa sucks and they want to come to EU.
Not matter the choice, a lot of people will die.

This speech inflamed most of my right friends while I found it ridiculous. She kept blaming others, she has been in power for a year and it was the worst year for immigration. She has the support of 99% of the population on this matter. Stop talking and just do something.
