Well it sucks that the CDU under Merkel/Altmeier killed our solar industry here in Germany around 2012 and sold it out to the Chinese. I doubt our solar module production will resurrect itself any time soon. Danke Merkel…
And again a strategic mistake. For oil and gas we depend(ed) on dictators in Russia and Saudi Arabia. For green energy we will depend on a dictator in China.
In the future it is quite likely we will have a Cold War with China and they can block our access to essential elements in green energy infrastructure.
Europe should really learn how to build and keep its own essential industries.
Soon to be the EV industry, and in Europe’s case – the auto industry. Sadly.
