In the 1950s Ukraine developed a grape called the Alibernet, or more affectionately known as the Odesa Black.
These wines seemed to be the stars of the event this past weekend with many local boutique producers showcasing the best wines they had.
The cheeses were also fantastic, from sheep and cow to goat. I picked up a block of herbed bryndza myself.
The event cost 200uah (about 5€) and you get a souvenir wine glass. You could taste as many of the wines as you wanted included in the price (over 100 different wines).
There were also food vendors like a guy who has a snail farm near Lviv and was offering marinated snails, and of course Lviv famous pork ribs.
This looks awesome! Would love to be there.
Should market the right one as a pre-Black Friday tradition. I think what those lunatics storming stores to get the best deals really need is toxication.
At first glance, I thought that was a picture of a rat
Alibernet is mostly produced in south Slovakia. I bought bottle from producer from Bratislava week ago.
Those loaves of bread look really good. 😋
