If they are using the car as part of the job what is the issue? Is BIK being paid?
Part of the pay deal presumably?
How can an employer pay an employee’s tax bill? Would that payment then not be liable for income tax, PRSI and USC?
He gets a company car, fully expensed (ie he doesn’t pay for running costs, insurance etc.). It’s a very generous amount (!). He probably does very little company mileage. **He** should pay BIK on it himself. It’s everso straightforward, so why isn’t it happening??
