That really is a Heart-breaking story. I feel for the guy.
I’ve been somewhat into the Dignitas road with a family member. As it happens they detreated to a point where travel wasn’t really viable anymore. That was a shitty few months.
There is next to zero chance that it’ll be allowed in Ireland though.
If you are of sound mind with a terminal illness you should have the choice to die in a dignified way.
The State is more than happy to see people suffer

I have many family members 98 years
A lot of old people have alzimers one family was 97 when she died she could not decide what to have for breakfast but was in great shape
I had 96 year old family member who had perfect mind but bad body people will be killed off with morphine,I know friends who would like to kill old people off for falns and houses and would put pressure on them
Dogs are given more dignity when sick than ourselves. Bodily autonomy should be absolute.
