  1. Alan Love is a fella living in his own little world.

  2. I like the letter. I like how he pretends whole swathes of history didn’t happen and ignores the fact that we’re just fine and the UK is a basket case. Gas man.

  3. I m from UK. I dont agree of any of this.

I believe Ireland should have its own country. If it comes to UI (I dont support UI anyway)
Getting Ireland into UK, just start another age old issues and fights.
I think the UK had already moved on from things like territorial expansion etc. Long time ago.

  4. Being this out of touch with reality must be like being constantly on some hallucinogenic drug.

  5. I don’t like Leo Varadkar, but how is it “quasi-aggressive” for him to pontificate about a United Ireland in his lifetime, but it isn’t “quasi-aggressive” for English politicians to regularly affirm their support for a United Kingdom that includes Northern Ireland?

  6. >The unfortunate secession of part of these islands in 1921 was a result of a particularly vicious form of 19th and early 20th century militaristic European nationalism talking a strong hold on some sections of Irish society.

No mention of the Irish Famine, the Penal Laws, Cromwell’s massacres or anything other atrocities the UK inflicted on Ireland that might have influenced Ireland to pick a different future for itself.

  7. Tell me you’re a colonial imperialist without telling me you’re a colonial imperialist 😂😅
