Is there perhaps some weird quirk of the Ukrainian language that makes statements from government figures translated into English sound incredibly entitled maybe? Because it seems to be happening a lot.

What’s up with recent Ukrainian officials from making questionable remarks against India and China to fighting Poland and now this?
The thing is, if they give you the weapons to win in a couple of months, weapons companies lose out on potentially supplying for years of conflict, and we all know how well these guys can “lobby” (read “bribe”) our governments.
What’s going on with the recent issues surrounding Ukraine, some kind of media manipulation or what? The entitlement and ungratefulness has been displayed front and center. I’m getting awfully suspicious.

Of course West can give more weapons. West can in fact give enough weapons so that the war would be won pretty soon. But war of attrition is the best way to wear down Russia. That’s why West will only give enough so that they can continue fighting. Also it is a better way so you don’t force russians to a nuclear extent.
Edit: I mean war of attrition with NATO not Ukraine.

Like other comments have stated, is there a reason why a lot of their government officials come out with these statements that sound …. entitled and arrogant? Like, is it a translation issue, between Ukrainian and English? Before I get downvoted, I am very Pro-Ukraine and I want them to curb stomp Russia into oblivion, but some of these statements come off really badly and give ammunition to the anti-Ukraine government officials in western countries. I know we can do more, as well as we should do more, but this comes off really poorly. I can just see some of my idiotic GOP senators and congress people use this as a “reason” to abandoned Ukraine. Really bad optics.
The title and bad photo make the wrong impression here. Trust me, Budanov is a very educated and skilled guy in his position. He and his crew have done some damn impressive spy and military operations since the beginning of the full-scale war (and yet those are only some of them that opened to the public, we still can’t imagine how much of that is still secret). Too bad not so many actual interviews with him translated into English, but I’ve seen a lot of them in Ukrainian and every one of them is remarkable.
Germany immediately ordered 18 Leopard 2 tanks to replace the 18 Leopard 2A6 they gifted to Ukraine.
Unfortunately those will only arrive in 2025 at the earliest because the manufacturer can’t work faster. Ukraine will have to wait until then or look to countries that have a stockpile of unused tanks to give away.
What the fuck is with the Ukraine related headlines lately? This seems deliberate.
