Retics are known to be feisty, defensive and will lash out. They can be big buggers too. This is either an escaped pet (Not odd for reptile enthusiasts to take their pets outside in the sunny weather … but you have to stay with them and watch them…) or someones decided they don’t want it anymore and just let it go (Rehoming might not have been possible, no-one wanted to take it on etc).
Used to keep snakes myself and some will look for ways to go wandering. A lucky escape for this family and the owner should have been way more responsible regardless of the situation.
I thought it was odd that the snake expert said they’d give the owner this snake back!
That would be one of my worst nightmares.
Beats me why people keep them as pets.
Never trust a snake….
Why is it legal to keep these as pets without a license?
I would ban them. No one needs an 11ft python as a pet.
